im proud!

i made a bday cake for my mom! here it is:

changes.

*random thought:* Isn't it funny how people complain about having an overly-polluted country and yet continue to become an effing litterbug? It totally pisses me off to see a lot of people just throwing their trashes outside the car window or on the streets. Manners, people.. go home and get some.
I apologize for my harsh words, but I'm serious. How will we fix our country when we don't even know how to fix ourselves first?

Last Thursday, my friends came over for a mid-summer reunion. A lot of them came. I was really happy to see them once again after so many days of being alone inside the four walls of our house. The last time I saw them was during graduation day since I wasn't able to attend our GIA three days after that. It was nice to laugh and be crazy once again. I'm surely gonna miss a ll of them in college. As Miggy told me before they left, "that may be the last time we meet as teens." Sad but true. But of course, I sure hope we can meet another time before Arik, Avis, and I go to school in May. Arik, Anton, Miggy, Mina, Mavic, Raemart, and Mikko, thanks a bunch for what happened. I really enjoyed your company. I'm gonna miss you so much. Avis, Cocoi, Pao, and Matt, too bad you weren't able to come. I wish you were there to share the laughter with us. Sana sa susunod makasama na kayo. Mas masaya pag kumpleto yung grupo.

I was so busy helping my mom this past weekend because we were packing stuff from the condo. Pretty soon (and I mean SOON), we'll be leaving the place I called home for two years and moving back into the home I loved as a little girl...Avis you know about this, right?

It's my mom's birthday on the 28th! :)

rep.

One year ago, i was inside Rep's rehearsal hall with a couple of old friends and a lot of new faces. A big guy introduced himself as our teacher/director for the year and made us jog around the parking lot three times. After that session, I thought I wanted to quit since I didn't feel I liked going back to the workshop after all. But then I decided to give it another try the next day. Maybe if I did quit, I'd miss a whole lot--I may have made a big mistake. That year in rep, i can say, was the best year I had there. Our group developed a very solid bond that helped us put up te best show I ever took part of. If I weren't part of it, I may have missed the chance to earn friends for keeps and develop myself as a theater actress. If I weren't there, I may have deprived myself of my one true passion. I will forever be grateful I pursued that year or I may have been a goner.
I miss rep. I miss the aroma of Starbucks once I enter it. I miss the greasy stink of Hungry Hippo after somebody eats one of their burgers. I miss the times when it seemed as though we own Starbucks because of our loud chitchats inside as we wait for our class. I miss Meynard's scary yet convincing shouts when we fail to give our best during rehearsals. I miss commuting around Makati with Peachy. I miss the sweats we get from practicing at the second floor of Karivin Plaza. I miss Jay-ar's four-storey house, but most of all, I MISS MY FRIENDS. Nobody joined from our group this year except Sam and Ton. Even Meynard didn't teach this year. i guess now that I'm off to college, I will have to stop with acting first and focus on my studies.

Just this afternoon, I went to DLSU to check if my request for change of course was granted. Luckily, it was. But before I got inside the Admissions Office, I had to wait in line for more than two hours! The line was so long! I was so exhausted after everything! While I was there, I met two people, a mother from San Pedro, Laguna and a guy whose name I wasn't able to get. Both went there to have their slots reconsidered. Talking to them made it easier to wait in that everlasting line (haha!). I also discovered that the guy I was talking to earlier was to take ECE if ever he was approved of his request for reconsideration. I told him I was there to change my course from ECE to Biomedical Eng! Well, at least now I know two batchmates from my college, Jam and him. That was a very very memorable experience! haha

Here's the biggest scoop: I got my camera back!!! yaaaay! okay, so to celebrate, I became vain once again.

Good Friday today. I got to experience fasting. It's hard! I couldn't eat even if i really really wanted to. Anyway, we went around Manila yesterday for our annual Bisita Iglesia. My dad brought us to a couple of old churches around. First stop was the Manila Cathedral which, I think, is the most breathtaking church I've ever seen in my entire life. It stood very majestically in Intramuros, and everything inside it looked so elegant. The only problem was a lot of people were here with us. I guess we weren't the only ones who thought of going there. It was oh-so-crowded inside. Next was San Agustin (only about 10 minutes from there by foot). My dad said it was the only building that didn't get bombed during the Japanese era. He also said a tourguide told them that Miguel Lopez de Legazpi's remains were found there - somewhere under or inside.. Before going on with our bisita, we stopped and ate dinner in a Chinese restaurant along Roxas Blvd. Third was the Malate Church, then St. Anthony, the church beside my dad's former school. Then we went to Our Lady of La Paz, then the National Shrine of the Sacred Heart, where we saw my ninang and her family. Then we went to St. Andrew's. After that, we had coffee and desert in Cafe Caruso then we went home.

after hibernating.

after a long time of not posting, here i am once again.. well, i'll try to make this post as long and as detailed as i can to make up for all the posts i was supposed to do:

March 23, thursday: First official grad practice. I came in late so as punishment, we had to run around the sentrum two times. I had a lot of classmates with me to do it, though. We all had to swallow our prides and run in there while everyone else in our batch laughed and cheered for us. After that one, i promised to be extra early the next time.

March 29, wednesday: second grad practice. Nothing much to say about it. Just the compliment that mrs, Latay gave us about being easier to handle than the previous batch. Oh, we also had our first practice for the baccalaureat mass. We practiced songs. Miss J proudly volunteered Miggy, Aaron, Pao, and Me to join the choir.

March 30, thursday: last grad practice; second baccalaureat mass practice. The usual procedures took place. We practiced the entrance, giving out of diplomas, etcetera, etcetera... Then we had the mass practice. This time, Kuya Richard read out the liturgy so we can get accustomed to the responses. He also gave some instructions to take note of during the whole event. We also had our gowns and togas given out. We took pictures with Jiaan, since he was leaving the next day. We surely miss him a lot. Although we all know that it is his dream to get into the academy, we still couldnt stop ourselves from telling him not to go anymore. But still, he showed us that nothing can stop him from going after what he really wanted. Now all we can do is pray for him and wish him luck in his stay there.

March 31, friday: Baccalaureat Mass and Recognition day. Honestly, it was the most emotional and the best mass I've ever had in my entire life in La Salle Lipa. The priest was so good, that I didn't quite notice the time fly by. He had lots of stuff under his sleeves (i mean it literally) that he kept on showing us while he was delivering his homily. Allow me to enumerate them: mirror, flashlight, cup, coffee, creamer, sugar, spoon, THERMOS OF HOT WATER!!! haha, and a stick of plastic flowers (im not sure, i wasnt able to see it up close). How fascinatig is that? haha...anyway, we got really emo when he asked us to go to our parents and hug them and tell them how thankful we are of the hard work they went through in order to let us finish high school. After hugging the parents, we also hugged our teachers. The one that really made me cry was when our class hugged our Ecomonics teacher, with whom we spent the worst days of our high school life. We were at war with her during the whole 4th quarter because of a freakin deadline she gave us for our project. A lot of us broke down into tears after hugging her. I guess that ends our long war with her. Charge it to experience.

April 3, monday: Graduation Day. I woke up at 6 in the morning only to find out from my dad that we left my La Salle pin in Makati. I panicked and called Miss J to ask if she had any extras left because if not, my dad was going all the way to Makati to get the pin. She said there was none so off my dad went to pick it up. After a few minutes, Miss texted me saying I can use Jiaan's because it was still with her. I told my dad immediately to return because we found a way. Jiaan saved my life! I wil be forever grateful for it.. Anyway, I got ready for the event. I put my make-up all by myself and got lots of frustration while putting on some mascara. I keep on dotting my eyelids accidentally that I ended up having black eyes...so I had to ask my mom for help with it... After we fixed my face (haha!), we went to school. I really didn't get any feeling of excitement or sadness when we were together, I don't know why. I only cried a little after grad when Miggy hugged me. It was really touching because he also said, "Trix, grade 4 pa tayo magkakilala!" awww... and he actually was one of my closest friends for the longest time. My friends and I took lots and lots of pictures together. After that, I met Mikko's parents. They also met my parents. My mom and dad said they seem nice; I thought so too. Mikko's dad even invited my parents to Mikko's grad party last aturday, but unfortunately, I had an activity scheduled on that day, too, so we weren't able to go. After everything, we went home and packed stuff for our trip to Batanes the following day. I was so tired that day that I fell asleep on the way to Manila. We celebrated my graduation in McDonald's in the Caltex station in SLEX. (pretty nice dinner?!?) haha... April 4, tuesday: I had to wake up really early because we had to be at the airport at 7am. I was cranky because I was still really really tired. We arrived in Batanes at about 1pm. We ate lunch, then I slept until 3:30pm. After, we were toured around Basco, (the capital of Batanes, and also one of the 3 municipalities of the island) The place was so nice. In fact, if you only see pictures, you wouldn't believe it's just in our country. The place was way way different from the other tourist spots we have here. Plus the breeze was very nice and chill. After our tour, we ate in a typical carinderia (there are no fastfood chains anywhere). It was really small; there were only two tables with three chairs each.

April 5, wednesday: The day my classmates had their outing. In our case, we went again on a tour around Batan island. Again, the view was B-E-A-utiful! If I might add, the people were so hospitable. They even know everybody else in the place!

April 6, thursday: The day of our departure. The flight was so delayed. We were supposed to leave Batanes at 11am, but then we left at 1pm. Tsk tsk.. we arrived Manila at around 4:30pm. Then, we went home to Batangas at 9pm; arrived at 11pm.

April 7, friday: My dad had a business trip to Manila so we left Batangas at around 5am. (Talk about being busy) As for me, I woke up, fixed my stuff, dressed up, got into the car, and slept. When we arrived Manila, I just got off the car, went to the room and slept again. Next thing I knew, it was 11am and it was freakin' hot! So then, I got up and took a bath. I listened to my cds and my mom called asking where I wanted to eat lunch. I went with her and then bummed around National Bookstore in Greenbelt1 for a while and then went home. It was after a few hours that Carmina texted me that she was in GB3. I was so excited to hear from her that I told her to stay put and wait until I get there. We saw each other and chatted NONSTOP from 5 to 7pm. We walked around Greenbelt, Landmark, and Glorietta until it was time for her to leave. I then went to my mom's office because she was waiting for me there.

April 8, saturday: The day I recorded my cd. It was tiring, but it was also very fun. The sound engineer even told me how energetic I am after having recorded 12 songs in one day! He said other singers who went there to record gave up only after the 5th song. I'm really looking forward to hear myself on a cd. I still have to get it maybe on wednesday, not sure.

A lot happened. Summer this year may not be as busy as my past summers but still, I have a lot to do. Anyway, I have to cherish my summer vacation now because after this year, it will be decreased into a 1-month vacation..oh well.. (sigh*)
